Tefzel Wire Aerospace, Motorsport Grade Wire

Prowireusa is proud to offer M22759/16 and M22759/32 Tefzel wire in various colors and wire gauges, as well as in-house striping options.
Tefzel wire is the defacto wire used in many aerospace, motorsport, and industrial applications due to its chemical resistance and high heat capabilities. Tefzel wire is typically stranded tin-coated wire with either Crosslinked (M22759/32) or non-Crosslinked (M22759/16) insulation.

M22759/16 is a standard wall non-crosslinked (ETFE) Tefzel wire used in many different military, aerospace, and motorsport applications and can withstand temperatures up to 150º C and voltages up to 600V.

  • Slightly larger O.D over /32 wire by roughly 15%*
  • Slightly heavier compared to /32 wire by roughly 20%*
  • Available from 24AWG - 2/0AWG

M22759/32 has all the same great attributes as the M22759/16 wire except for its insulation, which is (XLETFE) crosslinked Tefzel. This allows for less insulation, resulting in a smaller O.D and lighter weight. In addition, since this wire is crosslinked, the color profiles can be more of a pastel color palette than the relatively bright, vibrant colors of the M22759/16 variant.

  • Slightly smaller O.D over /16 wire by roughly 15%*
  • Slightly lighter compared to /16 wire by roughly 20%*
  • Available from 30AWG - 12AWG

Which should I use for my motorsport project? This is a commonly asked question. Our answer is simple, M22759/32 is the most widely used wire in high-end motorsport applications due to its smaller size and weight savings.

What heat shrink tubing should I use in my motorsport project?
Our favorite and biggest seller is the Yellow-Printed DR-25 tubing, and we also stock a non-printed version here.
